8 years of painting experience - and learning everyday!

Currently studying impressionism and practicing through still life, portraits, and flowers.

I feel by being here I have a responsibility to paint, or do something creative with my life.

I can’t see shadows or dappled light on the ground without seeing ways i can brush them onto a canvas, I can’t see ordinariness anymore.

Nothing is just. It’s - and also’s, alive, blooming., dead, reflected, completely accidental, and perfectly paint worthy.

I love painting something seemingly insignificant and making a person stare at it like a foreign object they dont pass by a hundred times already. Watch them connect with it. I believe if lighting, values and composition are considered you can hold someone in one spot.

I want to always be learning how to hold someone in that spot, as the not so ordinary holds me ♥
